Daryl Flood Spreads Holiday Cheer Through Volunteering and Donations

(COPPELL, TEXAS – December 21, 2018) This year Daryl Flood Relocation & Logistics helped spread holiday cheer by teaming up with four non-profit organizations across Texas to deliver Christmas magic to those in need.

Daryl Flood Relocation & Logistics. partnered with Celebration of Love for the fifth year in a row to help deliver 1,200 bikes and toys to the troops and their families in Fort Hood, Texas. Through the Soldiers of America program, Celebration of Love provides support for our U.S. veterans, soldiers and their families. “We are grateful for the opportunity to assist our service men and women, and thank them for their sacrifices,” said Chris Siler, Director of Government Services.

In the weeks leading up to Christmas, Daryl Flood Relocation & Logistics donated gifts to 9 families with children living in Coppell, Texas as part of the Make A Child Smile Program. This program is designed to support low income families and families experiencing temporary circumstances during the holiday season. “Thank you for your donation,” said a City of Coppell program support assistant. “You are such a huge contributor of this program, we could not do this without you.”

This year, Daryl Flood Relocation & Logistics participated in the Brown Santa Adopt a Family Program in Austin, Texas. The family that was adopted is facing hard times due to the mother’s cancer diagnosis and all their money is dedicated to medical bills. The mother of the family said, “I just want to try and have a good Christmas for my children who have been affected by my diagnosis in September – it has been hard and scary for them.” The Austin office raised over $1,700 in donations to buy the family gifts, grocery store gift cards and have some cash leftover to help with bills.

“This would not have been possible without the generosity of our employees,” said Kelly O’Connor, Senior Vice President. “We’re happy to be able to spread a little Christmas magic to those who need it.”

This holiday season, Daryl Flood Relocation & Logistics partnered with Move for Hunger to collect and donate 1,476 meals for local food banks in Coppell, Lubbock, Houston, Austin and El Paso, Texas. Move for Hunger, a non-profit organization fighting hunger across the country, teams up with relocation companies all over the nation to provide non-perishable food items from those who are moving, and deliver it to their local food banks.
