2020 IC Conference Highlights – Moments That Matter

(COPPELL, TEXAS – March 6, 2020) Daryl Flood Relocation & Logistics and Dependable RELO hosted the 22nd Annual Independent Contractor (IC) Conference at the Hilton DFW Lakes in Grapevine, Texas, on Saturday, February 8. The conference brings together the team of van operators from all over the country for a day of camaraderie, education and celebration.

“We recognize life on the road can be difficult,” said Jeff Talbot, Senior Vice President of Operations. “It’s a big reason we put on this event each year. We want to facilitate an opportunity for drivers and their spouses to create great work relationships, a space for drivers to get meaningful information on the state of our business and industry, and an avenue to openly demonstrate our appreciation for what they do each and every day to make the Daryl Flood companies successful.”

The high point of the day was the awards ceremony recognizing the top performing drivers of 2019.

In our highest attended conference to date, Daryl Flood hosted 52 household goods independent contractors and their guests to discuss trends and important updates within the industry.

This year’s “Moments That Matter” themed conference placed emphasis on providing an exceptional customer experience. Conference topics included operations, sales, safety and technology, as well as a panel discussion with the household goods claims and customer service teams.

The Daryl Flood team welcomed guest speakers Karen Owen, Senior Regional Sales Manager at Comdata; Collin McNamara, Transportation Specialist, and Peter Burg, Principal and Practice Leader, at TrueNorth Companies.

Approximately 130 employees, contractors and guests closed out the day celebrating our accomplishments in 2019 with dinner, dancing and games.
