Daryl Flood Moving & Storage Participates In School Supply Drive

COPPELL, TEXAS (SEPTEMBER 1, 2016) Daryl Flood, Inc. partnered with the Rotary Club of Coppell, Texas, in its eighth annual community-wide school supply drive held July 18 through August 5.  The Coppell Rotary School Supply Drive provides local schools with supplies students need for a successful start to the school year. Sixteen schools in Coppell ISD and Riverchase Elementary in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD received supplies requested by each school’s counselor. Due to the generous contributions of local businesses this year, the school supply drive was able to extend its reach by two schools. The drive also expanded this year by partnering with Wellington Place Apartments and Metrocrest Services to provide much needed supplies to assist families in crisis situations.

This year, Daryl Flood, Inc. proudly contributed to the drive in several ways. In addition to employees making individual school supply and monetary donations, the company donated 100 earbuds to fill all school requests, supplied collection boxes for all donation drop-off locations, and provided a delivery crew (Julio Jimenez and Fernando Soto) and a straight truck to pick up the donation boxes across Coppell and deliver them to the distribution location at the conclusion of the drive. Daryl Flood employees also donated their time to help sort donated items for distribution.

“This is such a cool opportunity to get to serve the schools in our area,” said Katie Lorenc, Employee Development Specialist. “By sorting supplies for the Coppell Rotary School Supply Drive, we were able to bond as a team and give back the community. This school supply drive helps not only students, but their families and educators, and I am so thankful that Daryl Flood, Inc. takes part in serving them.”

This is the second year Daryl Flood, Inc. and its employees have participated in the Coppell Rotary School Supply Drive.
