Box Forts for Childhood Education

COPPELL, TEXAS (April 16, 2018) Daryl Flood Relocation & Logistics recently sponsored the Great Big JAM, hosted by the Friends of Friends of ChildCareGroup. This annual event raises money for early childhood education for underprivileged families in the Dallas, Texas area.

The 2018 event, centered around children, featured the whimsical works of Oliver Jeffers, illustrator of “The Day the Crayons Quit”. Daryl Flood Relocation & Logistics donated boxes to construct a giant cardboard fort, bringing to life the theme of the book. This added a fun feature to the fundraising event, with a fort the size of a large room for the children to play in and color with crayons.

“Thanks to your help and support, we were able to raise over $80,000 for ChildCareGroup to help provide early childhood education to underprivileged families,” said Great Big JAM Co-Chair Kristen Cobb. “The crayon fort came to life and was a huge hit with all of the kids. The pictures don’t do it justice, as the scale was just incredible and the kids had so much fun running around in it. Thank you for your generosity!”

Friends of ChildCareGroup is a multi-generational group that helps support ChildCareGroup’s high quality early childhood education programs. Activities throughout the year include educational and social events, volunteer engagement for all ages, and the Great Big JAM in April. Learn more at http://www.childcaregroup.org/.
